Lower-altitude overflow and gateway town on the Canberra / Sydney approach. Longer drive to the plateau; useful when alpine beds are full or pricey.

Search stays — CoomaSummer school holidays, wildflower weekends and the entire ski season fill alpine beds early. If Kosciuszko is the centrepiece of your trip, lock accommodation before you fix flights. Prefer flexible rates when alpine weather might force a reschedule.
